INDICATIONS AND USES
Depo-Provera is indicated for use in women of childbearing age to prevent pregnancy.
Contraceptive injection containing the hormone progestin. Depo provera is given as an injection every three months. Depo-provera normally suppresses ovulation to prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg. It also increases the density of the cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching the egg.
