Presentation: Box of 30 Coated Tablets
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral route.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Tadalafil is a selective vasodilator agent that inhibits the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) used in male patients for the management of erectile dysfunction.
Promotes erection and its maintenance over time.
Therefore, at therapeutic doses, Tadalafil has no effect on erectile function in the absence of sexual stimulation.
INDICATIONS
Treatment of erectile dysfunction.
Pharmacokinetics
After oral administration, Tadalafil is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, generating peak plasma concentrations in an average time of 2 hours and an appreciable onset of effect at 30 minutes that is maintained for up to 36 hours. With the administration of the daily dose of 5 mg, it reaches steady-state concentrations in approximately 5 days. The rate and magnitude of absorption is not influenced by food intake.
Dose
Applicable only to adult patients
For on-demand or occasional use: single dose of 20 mg.
For daily use: 5 mg.
Maximum daily dose
The usual established dose. The use of higher doses does not generate any benefit from a therapeutic point of view and, on the contrary, could cause adverse effects.
Preclinical safety information.
There is no experimental evidence of carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, teratogenicity, fetotoxicity or adverse effects on fertility associated with Tadalafil.
There were no effects on sperm motility or morphology after administration of a 20 mg oral dose to healthy volunteers.
